Less than five minutes' walk from the house lies Gibbs Beach, one of the finest beaches on Barbados - blue sky, clear water, and bright soft sand.
The beach is relatively quiet, as there are no hotels or bars on it. Water activities are available, including water-skiing, sailing, jet-skiing, and sea fishing. Or swim with the turtles at nearby Paynes Bay. For local contacts to arrange these a day or two in advance, please click on the link below.
The beach offers some shaded areas for those wishing to moderate their exposure to the sun. Proximity to the equator means that the sun in Barbados has a strong tanning effect. Use sun lotions, and take care!
A short walk up the coast will take you to Mullins Bay where you can enjoy lunch at the beach-bar. A longer walk will take you to Cobblers Cove, where all our guests have signing privileges and are able to enjoy afternoon tea, as well as use of the hotel pool, beach, sunbeds and towels.
N.B. The photos of the beach have not been enhanced in any way. This is Gibbs Beach as it really is.
